Ex-Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has urged Paul Pogba to speak up about the uncertainty over his future at Old Trafford.
Pogba, 26, made his return from injury last month when he came off the bench in United's 2-0 defeat to Watford.
But the French midfielder was absent from last weekend's 2-0 win over Burnley and was ruled out of United's clash with Arsenal today.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed in his pre-match interview that Pogba would be out for the next few weeks after aggravating an ankle injury.
And Van Persie, who has become a pundit for BT Sport this season, has found the uncertainty surrounding the World Cup winner "mysterious."
The 36-year-old ex-Arsenal striker explained: "It's a bit mysterious to me, it's a bit of a grey area.
"I think it's important that Paul speaks out himself and really says what he feels inside his body.
"Does he want to stay, does he want to go?"
Pogba was heavily linked with a move away from United last summer amid interest from Real Madrid.
And the ex-Juventus star's super-agent, Mino Raiola, has suggested that the player wants to remain at Old Trafford.
United legend Rio Ferdinand has echoed Van Persie's sentiments and wants Pogba to personally address the issues over his future.
"That's the big thing, if I was someone advising Paul, I would say, 'Go on, you're your own man, your voice is going to be heard the loudest,'" the 41-year-old BT Sport pundit said.
"Don't let your agent speak, shut your agent down, you speak and add some clarity to this situation so the fans know where you're at, your teammates know where you're at and the club, your manager and people that are important know where you are [at]."
Raiola has also blasted United's handling of Pogba and argued they would have ruined Pele or Diego Maradona like they did the Frenchman.
