Jamie Carragher and Stan Collymore both release public lashings of their old Club, Liverpool, after they announced they will be using the Government furlough payment scheme for their non-playing staff. The Government will have to cover 80% of their Monthly salary while Liverpool cover the rest.
Liverpool have become the latest club to take advantage of the Government furlough payment scheme to pay their non-playing staff. The scheme constitutes that the British Government will cover 80% of their wages due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
#LFC is continuing to deal with a range of challenges caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and would like to update supporters on the progress that has been made to date. https://t.co/0QAiCSVDv6

The North-West outfit joins Tottenham, Norwich, Newcastle, and Bournemouth as another team to take advantage of the scheme, much to the dismay of footballing and non-footballing fans alike.
Liverpool legends, Jamie Carragher and Stan Collymore, have both come out to lament their old Club, Liverpool had recently revealed they had generated £42million profit over the last financial year albeit having a record-high spending on transfers.
Jurgen Klopp showed compassion for all at the start of this pandemic, senior players heavily involved in @premierleague players taking wage cuts. Then all that respect & goodwill is lost, poor this @LFC https://t.co/9bE8Rw1veE

Carragher took to his Twitter account to slate the Club, pointing out how Manager Jurgen Klopp and the players had been proactive in regards to wage cuts and compassion regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Collymore's Tweet was more explicit than Carragher's, saying that the fans would be disgusted at the club for their use of the Government-funded scheme.
I don't know of any Liverpool fan of any standing that won't be anything other than disgusted at the club for furloghing staff.

It's just plain fucking wrong.
Other clubs such as Manchester United have taken the direct opposite route to the Coronavirus pandemic, to instead help the less-fortunate.
The Glazers have stuck to paying the playing and non-playing staff their regular wages without the help of the Government furlough scheme, while club Captain Harry Maguire, organised the Manchester United players to donate 30% of their salaries to NHS hospitals and medical centres in Manchester.
Harry Maguire asked the entire squad to donate a part of their wages to good causes during this coronavirus pandemic. The players positively agreed to take a 30% wage cut for a month to support NHS hospitals and medical centres throughout Manchester.
