Watford announced the signing of Le Havre midfielder Pape Gueye yesterday but a day later and the player's agent is saying otherwise.
The Hornets put a tweet and article out confirming the capture of the Frenchman on a five-year deal, with Gueye poised to become a Watford player in June.

Nigel Pearson's side looked to have beaten off stiff competition for his signature, yet his representative Pierre-Henri Bovis claims the deal is not done and he could still move elsewhere when the summer window rolls around.
He told The Athletic: "Nothing is fixed. We have a 'so-called' contract from January. Now we are trying to resolve possible issues. The circumstances are very strange.
"The communication of Watford doesn't change anything for us.
"In the UK, in France, Germany and Italy, we really don't know about the solution or the club where Pape Gueye could go."
So let me get this straight.. Watford announce Pape Gueye but his agent comes out saying it's not done? Madness. https://t.co/jODykxxMfL

Gueye, who is a product of the Le Havre academy that has produced gems such as Riyad Mahrez and Paul Pogba, has previously been linked with Arsenal.
The conflicting response from his agent is said to be in relation to his former agent Bakari Sanogo being the one that sealed the deal and having the right to take the commission fee.
But despite the confusion, Watford are adamant that he is and will be their player.
"Any private dispute with old and new representatives does not affect the lodged contract," a senior source told The Athletic.
"He [Gueye] signed a contract in person in January as per FIFA and Premier League rules. It has nothing to do with his registration. He is and will remain a Watford player."
