Speaking after his side's triumph, captain Jordan Henderson praised Jurgen Klopp in an emotional interview.
"You never really think of this end moment, you just think about each game," he said.
"When this moment does come, I can't describe it. I said after the Champions League it wouldn't be possible to do that without the manager.
"That's no disrespect to who I've worked with before, because we came close before, but from day one when he walked through the door he's (Klopp) changed everything.
"A lot of it you see, what you see is what you get. That is what he's [Klopp] like. He's got a bit more personal side, he's so close with the players. He's got a perfect balance of that.
"He's a leader, and a great human being. The biggest thing he's got is that, no matter what, we all follow him and believe in him.
"This wouldn't be possible without him. We've got an amazing group, that's no coincidence. It's a credit to him and to the staff at the club.
"We've got a great bunch of lads, very together. It's so special to be able to spend this time with them now, celebrating. It's amazing to be part of it."
