Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes that even though Jadon Sancho will be a good signing for United, that they should be prioritising someone else over the Dortmund winger.
Former Manchester United great Paul Scholes believes that United aren't prioritising the right targets in the current summer transfer window.
With the Red Devils inching closer by the day to announcing the signing of Jadon Sancho for a fee of around £120 million, United's starting XI seems to be closer to completion.
Looks very likely that Sancho will become a Manchester United player this week... just waiting for 3 little words from Fabrizio Romano. #mufc

However, Scholes believes that Sancho shouldn't be the priority, and instead, it should be Tottenham's Harry Kane.
"I don't think it's a major priority (signing a right-sided forward). Don't get me wrong, he is a top-quality footballer. He would improve Liverpool, Man City and Barcelona," he told BT Sport.
"He is a goalscorer and would make lots of goals. But we have three wide-stroke-centre-forwards who are very similar to Sancho. They might not be as good as him but they could be."
Paul Scholes: " I would be more desperate to sign Harry Kane than Sancho at this stage. I just think #mufc need a number 9 - a real centre forward a real goalscorer. Harry Kane would be that man for me." [BT]

Scholes couldn't be any more wrong with his analysis on Sancho, with the English winger never playing as a striker in his senior and youth career. Sancho is seen more as a player similar to Eden Hazard who is known for his creativity rather than his goal-scoring prowess.
The former United maestro said that Kane is needed because the Red Devils still lack a centre-forward.
"If that was Harry Kane we were talking about, I think we would be more desperate. We need a centre forward but Ole doesn't seem like he wants that type of player anymore."
Kane has been linked to only leaving England with teams such as Real Madrid and Juventus being interested, while United look to be holding steady with current strikers Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, and Odion Ighalo.
Anthony Martial has 23 goals and 9 assists in 3,342 minutes this season — equivalent to 37 appearances. This includes being injured for a period and playing without a good creator for half the season.

A fantastic season from him and there is more left! pic.twitter.com/UezIqzdnUM
Martial has been involved with 23 goals in the Premier League while Kane only being involved in 20. The French striker has also been in blistering form since the restart, scoring seven goals and creating five assists in 11 games.
Teenage sensation Greenwood has also been in amazing form scoring five goals in 10 games.
What do you think of Scholes' questionable thinking?
