'Aaron Wan-Bissaka Hints At International Allegiance Change After Latest England Omission

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has hinted he may switch his international allegiance from England to DR Congo - with a change to his Instagram bio.

Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace in 2019 and has established himself as a defensive force at the back.

But England manager Gareth Southgate is yet to hand the 22-year-old his full international debut and opted to call up the more attacking minded Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James and Kieran Trippier.

In response to this, Wan-Bissaka has removed the England flag from his bio and left the DR Congo flag in.

He has represented both countries at youth level and having not made a full international debut, Wan-Bissaka can still play for either side.

The former Palace man made 35 appearances in his debut season at Old Trafford and helped United to a third place finish.

Meanwhile, England won their friendly with Wales 3-0 on Thursday night and the in-form Dominic Calvert-Lewin was handed his debut.

Calvert-Lewin scored the first goal of the game with a bullet header from a Jack Grealish cross.

Conor Coady and Danny Ings also got on the score sheet and an emotional Coady expressed his delight at the full-time whistle.

"I'm still in shock to be honest, it'll live with me forever. It's an amazing night for me. It's just an incredible night honestly," the 27-year-old told ITV.

"I can't explain it. To play with these players is incredible for me, the feeling of it and everything about playing at Wembley for England - I'll never forget it.

"You want to come and impress, everyone does, but I want to help whenever I'm called upon. I will make sure I'm ready and I'll give 110 per cent every time I play for my country."

Grealish was named Man of the Match thanks to his assist but Southgate didn't shower the Aston Villa captain with too much praise.

"I'm very pleased with him [Grealish] and he'll be delighted to have had his first start, he's a different type," Southgate stated.

Southgate would quickly move on to Chelsea youngster Mason Mount and continued: "Mount coming on in a similar position, again I thought he had an excellent impact on the game.

"He presses so well, he moves the ball so quickly and he had a real impact in setting up two or three chances, an immediate impact on the game."
