'Patrice Evra In Tears As He Offers To End His Contract At Sky Sports Live On Air

Patrice Evra was in tears and offered to end his Sky Sports contract after Manchester United suffered a shocking 6-1 defeat to Tottenham at Old Trafford.

United took the early lead after Davinson Sanchez brought Anthony Martial down inside the box, with Bruno Fernandes firing home from the subsequent spot-kick.

But Spurs quickly turned the tide as Tanguy Ndombele pulled back an equaliser thanks to a horror-show display of defending from United.

Son Heung-min fired Tottenham into the lead in the seventh minute after he latched onto Harry Kane's quickly taken free-kick.

The Red Devils were dealt another major blow as Martial was dismissed after he appeared to aim his arm in the face of Erik Lamela.

Son then linked up with Kane and the England captain buried Spurs' fourth before half-time.

Jose Mourinho's men would seal a sensational 6-1 win after Serge Aurier and Kane added Spurs' fifth and sixth respectively.

An emotional Evra said after the match: "I really would like to end my contract with Sky -- I know you have to have some filter when you talk on TV."

Evra, who recently launched a scathing attack on United's business in the window, was also furious during the Sky Sports half-time analysis.

Slamming his hand on the desk, the 39-year-old United legend said: "Are you seeing this right now?

"That's why I don't even want to talk about this game because it's a catastrophe what's happening right now.

"My advice to any fan right now is to buy a PlayStation, buy a player like [Jadon] Sancho, even [Lionel] Messi, and start playing. Because it's a disaster.

"You know I've been a player, that's why I don't want to go on about one player, but our defence has been shocking.

"[Eric] Bailly had the chance to play instead of [Victor] Lindelof and he made that mistake. So don't cry when you don't play!

"This is so naive. I'm devastated. And I'm a positive person. But right now I understand the pain of all United fans because no-one right now in this team deserves to play."
