A Manchester United fan has created a Twitter thread called "bad VAR decisions involving MUFC" - to prove the club have had no help from referees this season.
Promising to "address controversial or seemingly incorrect decisions both for and against United" the incredibly thorough thread begins at the first game of the season and Crystal Palace getting a questionable penalty for a handball by Victor Lindelof, following a VAR review.
That penalty was actually retaken due to David De Gea being a tiny margin off his goalline when he saved the first attempt from Jordan Ayew.
THREAD: Bad VAR Decisions Involving #MUFC, Proof That the Refs Don’t Love Us

In this thread, I will address controversial or seemingly incorrect decisions both for and against United, with videos and screenshots for evidence. pic.twitter.com/99CM143zQS
In the first game of the season, we saw Crystal Palace given a penalty for handball. Ayew scooped the ball up into Lindelof's arm, which he could not have moved out of the way in time, but VAR deemed the referee's decision not to award the penalty to be a clear and obvious error. pic.twitter.com/RD1xOeOhiY

There's a perception in the Premier League that the biggest clubs often get the benefit of the doubt from officials - and that VAR hasn't really levelled the playing field.
Also, many rival fans believe that that Man United, as the biggest club in England, get far more than their fair share of soft penalties and favourable outcomes when it comes to decisions.
In our next PL game, we conceded a last-minute equaliser against Brighton, only to go up the other end and win a penalty after the final whistle. Although its timing was unconventional, nobody can argue that this decision was incorrect-Maupay led with his arm. pic.twitter.com/LEs9jKQE44

It was three games and three contentious decisions for United, as Anthony Martial was sent off early in our home fixture with Spurs. If Martial's is a red, so is Lamela's, the only difference being that the Spurs player fell to the floor when his face was lightly tapped. pic.twitter.com/X5MHir4AoX

Joseph Howes sets out to disprove this examining a red card for Anthony Martial against Tottenham, a kick from Jordan Pickford against Harry Maguire that did not result in a United penalty and more.
But Howes isn't completely one-sided - he does admit that Maguire was lucky not to give away a penalty for wrestling Cesar Azpilicueta, while Edinson Cavani was equally fortunate against Everton.

The game that ended our poor start to the season, beating Everton 3-1, involved yet another controversial decision. Jordan Pickford escaped punishment for recklessness again, as he kicked out at Harry Maguire. No penalty or card was given. pic.twitter.com/wWvJNLmffg

The overall point, however, as he goes through the video and the decisions one by one is that Manchester United have had as many bad decisions go against them as they have had controversial calls in their favour.
Then we had a goal ruled out after Maguire made slight contact with Ramsdale in contesting the ball. Anywhere else on the pitch that is not a foul, especially considering the earlier decision. The ref incorrectly blew his whistle before the ball went in so it couldn't be checked. pic.twitter.com/sRVGUyGA0o

In the reverse fixture against West Brom, they grabbed an early goal, but Diagne, the scorer, seemed to cover Lindelof's face in order to beat him to the ball. pic.twitter.com/CY8dFwufR1

Another 0-0 stalemate against Chelsea brought with it another discussion surrounding VAR, as Hudson-Odoi somehow escaped conceding a penalty when he clearly handled the ball with his arm in an unnatural position. pic.twitter.com/f2zfjsTyCh

He finishes with the controversial VAR review in which Scott McTominay was penalised for a hand in the face of Son Heung-min which caused a United goal to be ruled out against Tottenham.
Arguably the worst on this list, our recent game against Spurs saw a Cavani goal chalked off as McTominay had allegedly fouled Son in the buildup. Son made a huge meal of a tiny brush on the face, and after rolling around on the floor, got up and put spurs into the lead. [END] pic.twitter.com/EdroKo61or

Has Howes won you over and will you never complain about Man United getting help from referees and officials in the future?
